Three months in and the Generic still works like day one. I use it daily and the efficient pet hair removal has held up perfectly — no wear, no issues, no regrets. It's the kind of irons & steamers that makes you wonder why you didn't buy it sooner. At about $12, it's comfortably the best value irons & steamers I've bought this year, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
Upgraded from cheaper irons & steamers and the difference is night and day. The floating lint trap technology on the Generic is in another league.
Mixed feelings about the Generic. The durable washer/dryer design works as advertised, but setup was more fiddly than it should be.
